The Centre of Excellence is a partnership between Croydon Hearing Resource Centre, Croydon Voluntary Association for the Blind, Croydon Deaf Children's Society, Going for Independence and Croydon Disability Forum.

Croydon Sensory Impairment Team - Sight

They provide a community-based service to Croydon residents. Their aim is to enable people to regain skills lost due to visual impairment.
They  work with people who have been medically assessed as having a significant and permanent sight loss and are experiencing functional difficulties due to this.
They will carry out an assessment of your needs and work with you to decide the best way of meeting the needs they have identified.

British Wireless for the Blind Fund (BWBF)

British Wireless for the Blind Fund provides specially modified radio equipment for the visually impaired. They help people who are blind or partially sighted to access the world of audio by providing high quality, easy to use radios and audio players, specially designed or modified to meet the needs of listeners with visual impairment. Our sets range from simple digital radios and CD/SD radio cassette player to a wireless internet audio player.
